Dry needling

Dry needling is offered by Sarah as part of our musculoskeletal treatment toolkit, particularly for muscular pain, tension and trigger points.

Dry needling involves the insertion of fine, sterile needles into specific trigger points within tight muscles. When a needle reaches a trigger point you may feel a brief twitch response, this is the muscle releasing tension and is a sign the treatment is working.

Benefits of dry needling:

✦ Reduces pain and muscle tightness

✦ Improves flexibility and range of motion

✦ Increases blood flow and promotes tissue healing

✦ Complements hands-on manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation

Sarah regularly uses dry needling for:

✦ Pelvic girdle pain during pregnancy

✦ Lower back and hip pain

✦ Postural neck and shoulder tension

✦ Musculoskeletal pain in the postpartum period

Aches and pains slow you down. Let's sort them out.
