Physiotherapist

Jo's passion for women's health has its roots in a place far from Mount Waverley.

Growing up in Vietnam, she witnessed firsthand the limited resources and support available to women during the postpartum period. She watched mothers navigate the physical and emotional demands of new parenthood without adequate care, without adequate information and without anyone truly in their corner. That experience never left her and it became the foundation of everything she does today.

That foundation was strengthened during her physiotherapy studies, where clinical placement at the Royal Women's Hospital gave her direct insight into women's health and deepened her commitment to this area of practice.

Jo brings a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to treatment, grounded in her background in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and clinical Pilates, and informed by a genuine understanding of what women need at every stage of life. Her special interests span pregnancy-related musculoskeletal conditions, including pelvic girdle pain, lower back pain and postural changes in pregnancy, as well as pelvic floor dysfunction, birth preparation, postpartum recovery and pelvic and sexual pain.

Jo is currently completing her Master of Women's Health (including the Graduate Certificate in Pelvic Health), deepening her clinical expertise and expanding the scope of what she can offer the women she sees at Fitt Physiotherapy. It is a commitment that reflects exactly who Jo is, someone who is always learning, always growing and always in her patients' corner.

Her goal is simple: to empower every woman she works with to feel strong, supported and in control of her own body, through pregnancy, postpartum and beyond.

Outside of work Jo loves socialising with friends, gym and Pilates, exploring new restaurants and competing in tennis.
